AEW star Andrade El Idolo seems to want fans to know that he could be done with the company after this coming Friday night.
Earlier today, Andrade retweeted this message from Jose The Assistant:
“You are one of the best in ring competitors, I learned a great amount working alongside you. You brought me to #AEW and I stand by your side in whatever choice you make next.
Thank you for everything Manuel Andrade.”
Last night on Rampage, AEW announced that Andrade El Idolo will put his career on the line against the mask of Preston “10” Vance. The match was made after the two met face-to-face in a backstage segment.
On Twitter, Andrade responded to a fan who suggested that this is a work to possibly write him off TV for a couple of months like they did with MJF.
Andrade responded, “Soy EL ÍDOLO ANDRADE NO ESE Niño.” That translates to, “I am Andrade El Idolo, not that little boy.”
Another fan said that they were praying for 10 to win the match. Andrade responded, “Me Too!!”

While it may look obvious that Andrade is winning, it is worth noting that AEW mentioned that this coming Friday’s Rampage show is the two-year anniversary of Brodie Lee’s final match so, in theory, Vance should beat Andrade. However, Tony Khan is reportedly not granting releases and if his contract is not up and he’s staying then perhaps, Vance will lose the match. We’ll find out on Friday night. If he does leave AEW, then a WWE return would seem likely.
