Like the “Big Brother” fans, Tucker Des Lauriers is perplexed by Angela Murray’s gameplay.
Des Lauriers, the competition threat and fan favorite of Season 26, was finally voted out on last Thursday’s episode over fellow nominee Murray, who unexpectedly turned on the 30-year-old sales exec despite having a final two alliance.
In an exclusive interview with The Post, Des Lauriers said that Murray, 50, made her move against him too soon.
“I would’ve done it after the nomination ceremony,” he said.
“I was just like, what is going on right now? At least wait,” Des Lauriers continued. “And I still need to back you up, because if you do and you don’t go up, all the trust you had in me I’m thinking is gonna go to T’Kor [Clottey], which eventually helps 6th Avenue regardless. I was really hoping that was gonna happen.”
Des Lauriers also said he was hoping Leah Peters went on the block instead of Murray, but that didn’t pan out.
The week he got evicted, Des Lauriers offered himself up as a pawn as a favor to Clottey and the rest of his alliance. His move was a fatal mistake, which Des Lauriers acknowledges.
“I originally did it because I did it for two people before that I’m not in an alliance with,” he explained. “So I don’t want [‘Tkor] to think, ‘Why didn’t he offer it to me? Because we are in an alliance.’ “
“But I really [didn’t] want to go up there,” Des Lauriers went on. “We had so many people we could’ve put up. Once she did, I was like, alright, whatever, it’s her HOH. Maybe she’s being true to herself and her game. I can only think of it that way. Because it’s hard to do something different in that house whether it’s good or bad for your game. It’s an easy house to just go and play a game like that, versus try to veer off the path and stuff.”
Des Lauriers also reacted to Chelsie Baham being the person who rallied the five eviction votes that sent him home.
“She’s strategic,” he said. “I was thinking she was the brains and the strategist and the silent stalker, and Brooklyn [Rivera] was more of the in your face loving mom. Really good social games. But I picked up on her tells and they were a dynamic duo. Whether they’re in the final two or not, they would have taken that thing very far if I didn’t blow it up.”
As for his relationship with his showmance, Rubina Bernabe, Des Lauriers said he’s looking forward to their first date night once she eventually leaves the house.
“Probably gonna go to a nice restaurant, go dance somewhere, and walk along outside with Ziggy [his dog] and go to a park. Everything.”
“Go win Rubina,” he added.
“Big Brother” airs Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays on CBS.
