Gwyneth Paltrow compared to Jeffrey Dahmer for wearing ‘serial killer’ glasses at trial

Gwyneth Paltrow, 50, appeared in court on Tuesday for the first day of a trial regarding a 2016 skiing incident in Utah, but the Goop founder became the butt of the joke on Twitter for her “Jeffrey Dahmer glasses.”

According to the plaintiff, retired optometrist Dr. Terry Sanderson, the “Shakespeare in Love” actress was skiing “out of control” on a slope at Deer Valley Resort in Utah, when she collided with him and continued to go down the hill.

Sanderson said that the then-43-year-old left him with a “brain injury, four broken ribs and other serious injuries,” and filed a lawsuit against Paltrow in 2019.

For the first day of testimonies, Paltrow arrived at court wearing 1970s-style aviator glasses, which drew comparisons to serial killer Dahmer.

Paltrow has previously worn the spectacles — a $289 pair from the brand Caddis and also sold on her Goop website — but Twitter users couldn’t help but make fun of the wellness guru.

“I like her serial killer vibe,” commented one person on Instagram.

“Jeffrey Dahmer meets Gwyneth Paltrow,” slammed another person.

Sanderson then filed a lawsuit in 2019 against Paltrow for medical expenses and life care expenses that amounted to over $3,100,000.

“Gwyneth Paltrow is literally going for the #Dahmer look at this ski accident trial… wtf? Not very on-brand for @goop,” tweeted a third person.

“These are exactly the kind of 1980s aviator specs you should wear when being sued by a retired optometrist,” laughed a fourth person.

The Post has reached out to Paltrow for comment.

Paltrow, who spent most of Tuesday in court sitting stoic with her attorney, has claimed that Sanderson was above her on the slope and delivered a “full body blow.”

The Goop founder — who is countersuing the doctor for $1 — also claimed that Sanderson admitted that going partially blind and had several preexisting conditions before hitting the Oscar-winning actress.

Paltrow’s lawyers also claim their client did not flee the scene after the incident.

The “Iron Man” actress is also slated to take the stand in her own defense.
