I had a boxing-themed gender reveal party that left me in the dust

It was a knockout.

Trinnie Dang and her husband, Gilbert Hwang, hosted a boxing-themed gender reveal party that accidentally left the expectant mom with a face full of pink powder.

The video, which was posted to Dang’s Instagram last month, shows the nurse clad in a white dress with short high heels while sporting a pair of boxing gloves.

Standing in front of a poster reading “Boy or Girl,” Dang, 31, attempted to hit her husband’s pad, which contained the powder indicating the gender of their baby.

After many tries, Hwang, 40, assisted his wife, and as the pad connected with her glove, pink dust erupted and hit Dang in the face.

Several people can be heard exclaiming as Dang, now covered in the fine powder, seemed to stagger a bit before being caught by her husband.

The video then cuts to the grinning couple kissing while family members and friends applaud and coo over the happy family.

The Post reached out to Dang for comment.

Several Instagram users were quick to poke fun at the situation.

“Haha this is definitely one way to find out,” laughed one user before wishing the couple well.

“This is too cute. Congrats,” gushed another person.

Thankfully, Dang’s face full of colored powder was the only eventful thing that happened at the reveal.

Earlier this month, a mommy-to-be saw red after seeing pink and went on a destructive rampage and destroyed her entire gender reveal party.

The expectant Illinois mother flipped over tables, smashed decorations and ripped off her festive regalia after learning she would be having another daughter.

In May, a woman’s fiancé totally derailed the announcement of their incoming tot’s sex when he kicked a gender reveal ball — which was meant to explode into a colorful cloud of dust — into a neighbor’s backyard.

In another failed reveal, a woman claimed that her mother-in-law spoiled the big day by telling family and friends the baby’s sex ahead of the party.

After numerous gender announcement tragedies, mommy blogger Jenna Karvunidis — who is credited with “inventing” the gender reveal party — apologized in 2019 for starting the trend.

“Who cares what gender the baby is,” wrote Karvunidis, 39, in a now-viral Facebook post. “Assigning focus on gender at birth leaves out so much of their potential and talents that have nothing to do with what’s between their legs.”
