Krispy Kreme giving out free doughnuts with losing Mega Millions lottery ticket

A losing lottery ticket can still get you some dough.

As the Mega Millions jackpot reached over $1 billion, Krispy Kreme is giving out a free doughnut to customers who show their lottery ticket.

All you need to do is go to any Krispy Kreme shop nationwide and bring your Mega Millions ticket from Tuesday night’s drawing and claim your free original glazed doughnut.

The offer is good Wednesday, Aug. 2 while supplies last and is limited to one doughnut per person.

Krispy Kreme is making everyone a winner as part of their “Mega Glaze Days” promotion, encouraging patrons to share their pastry on social media, tagging them and using their hashtag.

“Tuesday’s $1 billion lottery drawing reminds us that we definitely hit the lottery when it comes to our fans. There’s probably a billion reasons we love them so much,” the company said in a press release. “Krispy Kreme fans, you’re all winners in our heart.”

No one won Tuesday night’s lottery drawing, and the jackpot is now at $1.25 billion. The odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot is 1 in 302.6 million, according to the Mega Millions website.

Of course, the winner of the Mega Millions will be able to get more than one glazed doughnut — possibly millions — using their earnings.
