Michael Caine appeared to be on the mend when he was spotted getting some sun in Barbados following his back surgery.
The 90-year-old Oscar winner was helped out by his aide and a walking frame on Sunday as he enjoyed the Easter holiday in the Caribbean.
Caine donned a baby blue button-down, black shorts, sneakers and cool shades for the springtime day.
The “Inception” actor was also joined by his wife of 50 years, Shakira, and they even spent some time soaking up the rays at the beach.
He was then seen without the use of his walking stick that he began using in 2018 following a broken ankle.
The trip came just several weeks after Caine celebrated his 90th birthday with pal Tom Cruise in London.
The “Top Gun: Maverick” star, 60, attended a fun birthday dinner for the British icon alongside comedian David Walliams.
Caine is still recovering from the spinal surgery that he underwent last year to treat his spinal stenosis.
The condition occurs when the spinal canal is narrowed, causing pain and discomfort.
“He had a back operation quite recently,” Shakira told the Daily Mail in March 2022. “He’s recovering. He’s a strong man. He’s a lion, actually.”
“The operation was fantastic. He’ll be up and dancing again soon,” she noted at the time.
The “Alfie” star had discussed his health problems in October 2021 and it sparked rumors that he was set to retire from Hollywood.
During an interview on the BBC podcast “Kermode and Mayo’s Film Review” about his film “Best Sellers,” he said: “Funnily enough, it has turned out to be what is my last part really. Because I haven’t worked for two years, and I have a spine problem which affects my legs, so I can’t walk very well.”
“And I also wrote a book, a couple of books, which were published and successful,” he added. “So, I’m now not an actor; I’m a writer which is lovely because as an actor, you have to get up at half past six in the morning and go to the studio. As a writer, you can start writing without leaving the bed!”
Just a day later, he addressed the speculation on Twitter, denying that he was quitting show business.
“I haven’t retired and not a lot of people know that,” he wrote.
He also further discussed the possible near-end of his career with Variety, noting: “Regarding retirement, I’ve spent over 50 years getting up at 6 a.m. to make movies, and I’m not getting rid of my alarm clock!”
Caine has no intent on stopping acting just yet and has several projects gearing up to shoot in the future.
The magic action adventure “Now You See Me 3” is currently in pre-production, while the drama “The Great Escaper” is now filming.
