Sophia Culpo and Braxton Berrios don’t seem to be on good terms after their recent breakup.
During an Instagram Q&A on Wednesday, the model — who confirmed the split on social media last month — said her relationship with the newly signed Dolphins receiver ended in betrayal.
“Are you able to talk about your breakup?” one person asked, to which Culpo wrote:
“I haven’t addressed this because it’s been really hard to come to terms with and process. I’ll say that it didn’t end well or honestly.
“A lot of trust was broken. But I have an amazing support system and I appreciate everyone’s love & support so, so much. This community never fails to amaze me.”
Culpo, who didn’t get into the “dirty details” of how the relationship ended — addressed her recent weight loss, adding the split “took a toll” on her.
“I wasn’t able to talk about this when it first happened,” the 26-year-old influencer said. “I still don’t really have words. I’m not really one to air out a bunch of dirty details.
“But I do know that I shared my relationship with you guys so it makes sense that there are questions about why this person is no longer in my life. I know that I’ve lost a lot of weight. It’s not intentional. The betrayal in my last relationship just really took a toll on me, but I have the most amazing support system.”
Sophia — who is the younger sister of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Olivia Culpo — gushed over the support she’s received from her family and friends.
“I have the most amazing family and friends and I’m really grateful that I’m even able to pick myself up and move myself to a new place on my own,” Culpo said. “So, there are a lot of things that I am grateful for… I don’t wish what I went through on my anybody. I really, really don’t and I’m trying my best to just take the high road here. I appreciate everyone’s love and support, I really do. It means a lot to me. Us girls’ girls gotta stick together and one day I will share all the lessons that I’ve learned.”
Culpo revealed last month that the couple called it quits in a TikTok video with her older sister, Aurora.
She wrote, “The single sisters,” across the clip, and included the hashtags “single life” and “so single” in her caption.
Culpo and Berrios, who first went public with their romance in 2021, were living together in New Jersey.
The model shared on social media that after her breakup with Berrios, she moved back to Los Angeles with her two friends.
As for Berrios?
The Dolphins wideout has been linked to TikTok star and influencer Alix Earle, who’s finishing her senior year at the University of Miami.
Earle, a New Jersey native, said in a recent TikTok video that she plans to stay in Miami after graduation in May.
Berrios signed a one-year deal with the Dolphins after his release from the Jets last month.
The 27-year-old Berrios — a former sixth-round selection by New England in the 2018 draft — won a Super Bowl with the Patriots in 2019.
