The GOAT himself was in the house.

Wayne Gretzky hit up the Garden for Monday’s Game 5 between the Rangers and Hurricanes — hoping to see his former team close out its second-round series, but instead watching Carolina score four unanswered goals in the third period en route to a 4-1 win.

Gretzky smiled and acknowledged the fans when he was shown on the video scoreboard in the first period.

He wasn’t the only ex-Blueshirts star to check in on the team.

Brandon Dubinsky, who played for the organization from 2005-12, racking up 81 goals and 213 points in 393 games as fan favorite, returned to MSG for the playoff action.

It wasn’t just Rangers, either.

Jets defensive tackle Solomon Thomas — fresh off a day at minicamp — was in attendance to give the Blueshirts some Gang Green support.

Kayvon Thibodeaux, the Giants’ sack-man himself, chugged a beer while featured on the scoreboard, pumping his first and waving a towel to send MSG into a frenzy.

Former Mets closer John Franco was unable to impart any of his Amazins magic from his seat in the stands.

As usual, the Garden drew plenty of star power as well, with actor, podcaster and big hockey fan Will Arnett pulling double duty in a Knicks t-shirt.

Arnett was seen sharing a laugh with “Mad Men” star Jon Hamm — a fellow hockey enthusiast — who was just a few seats away.

In front of them was “Kyle XY” actress Jaimie Alexander — who was in attendance for the double-overtime epic of Game 2 — proudly representing in a blue Rangers hoodie behind the Carolina bench.
