They are trying to nip them in the buds.
The owners of a UK sunflower field are asking their visitors to refrain from taking nude photos at their family-friendly farm.
Siblings Sam Wilson and Nette Petley, who run Stoke Fruit Farm on Hayling Island in England, put up signs begging guests to stop stripping down in their flower fields after children witnessed the lewd photo shoots.
“We’ve always had people take risque pictures but this is the first year it’s been a problem, which is why we’ve put signs up,” Wilson told CNN.
“We are a really free and happy farm but we just can’t have nudity in public view.”
The crackdown happened after there were six naked photo shoots — three on the same day — since the fields opened to the public last month.
The brother-sister team also posted the plea on their Facebook page, stating, “Reminder to all we are a family area and please keep your clothes on in the sunflowers! We are having a (sic) increase of reports of naked photography taking place and this must not happen during our public sessions please!”
The farm, which was started by the pair’s grandfather, sits on 350 acres and produces other crops such as wheat, peas, potatoes, pumpkins, squash, sweetcorn and hay.
There are about 50 acres filled with 2 million sunflowers, which were originally planted by Wilson and his then-fiancée.
“The site is huge and there are so many places that you can hide away without anyone finding you for over an hour,” Petley told CNN. “But these incidents were blatantly public.”
