‘The View’ host calls Kanye West a ‘white supremacist’ — ‘mental problems’ no excuse

They say you are the company you keep — and “The View” co-host Sunny Hostin is calling out what she declares Kanye West’s inexcusable ties to racists and anti-Semites.

Hostin made the claim during the show’s lively “Hot Topics” segment on Monday, during which the panel condemned former president Donald Trump for hosting West and known Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes at Mar-a-Lago last week.

“I think the problem with it is, when you provide that kind of access to white supremacists — which is what these two [West and Fuentes] are at this point, because Kanye is also wearing things that say ‘White Lives Matter,’” Hostin said.

She continued, “I mean he’s, you know, mental problems or not, he is exhibiting antisemitic behavior, bigotry, racism and so has Nick Fuentes. So I don’t think there’s an excuse for this.”

Hostin’s co-hosts appeared to agree with her point, with Sara Haines echoing criticism levied by conservative radio personality Ben Shapiro on Twitter.

Haines repeated his tweet: “A good way not to accidentally dine with a vile racist and anti-Semite you don’t know is not to dine with a vile racist and anti-Semite you do know.”

Trump, for his part, has denied that he knew anything about Fuentes’ prejudices prior to their meeting on Nov. 26, and that West brought the plus-one unannounced.

Hostin called BS on that claim.

“He has Secret Service protection at all times, because he’s a former president of the United States,” slammed the 54-year-old attorney. “There’s no way that someone walked into Mar-a-Lago to have dinner with the former, twice-impeached, disgraced president and he didn’t know who they were. So that’s a lie.”

The embattled rapper has faced a slew of online criticism after making several anti-Semitic remarks and wearing a “White Lives Matter” shirt. As a result, several high-profile brands have cut ties with West, including with Balenciaga, Adidas, Gap, Foot Locker and JP Morgan Chase. Even Madame Tussaud’s London removed Ye’s wax double from their museum floor.
