The arterial apocalypse is upon us.

A UK food truck owner has unveiled one of the world’s most calorific burgers, with a bun made of eight Krispy Kreme donuts.

“Everyone loves a donut burger but I wanted to go bigger and better,” Tom Warwick, 29, told Southwest News Service of his high-octane concoction, which is on offer at his food truck Meat Castles in Retford, Nottinghamshire.

In addition to the donuts, the burger features three beef patties and six slices of cheese slathered in melted butter or Biscoff spread.

Warwick’s calorific creation is a souped-up version of the notorious Luther burger, in which the beef is bookended by two donuts.

“I’ve taken eight Krispy Kremes and pressed them to make the ‘bun,’” the Gainsborough native described. “Add the three patties, cheese and bacon, and then smother it in melted butter or Biscoff if people prefer and you’ve got a monster of a burger.”

All told, the burger reportedly houses 3,180 calories — the equivalent of six big Macs, or more than the total number of calories an adult human should consume in a day.

“I’m always coming up with new ideas and everyone loves a food challenge, so I thought what can I create that really will be hard to beat,” said burger creator Tom Warwick. Ellen Manning / SWNS

“I’m always coming up with new ideas and everyone loves a food challenge, so I thought what can I create that really will be hard to beat?” Warwick responded when asked what inspired the fatty treat.

As such, he’s offering $127 to any gastronaut who can consume his creation….in three bites.

“If you do manage it in three bites, you’ve done 1,000 calories a bite,” explained the burger merchant, who said that no one had yet managed to accomplish the monumental feat.

The octuple-decker donut burger is just one of many Frankenburgers on offer at Meat Castles, which he created after years of judging national burger competitions.

Another edible oddity is the “Phat Nut,” an aged beef patty topped with American cheese, peanut butter, and strawberry and vanilla jam.

In recent years, the food truck has become a veritable mecca for burger buffs eager to make a beef patty pilgrimage.

“People love burgers and over the last few years Meat Castles has got itself a bit of a cult following,” Warwick explained. “We’ve got all sorts of people who travel from near and far for our burgers.”

He added: ‘Some order what’s on the menu and others want a special creation, which we’ll do sometimes.”

While the meat maven is most famous for MacGyvering mammoth burgers, he claims that the quality is what draws people in. Warwick’s patties are exclusively comprised of a special blend of slow-grown, grass-fed, hand-reared heritage-bred beef — the culmination of months of research.

”They know the time and effort that’s gone into creating the perfect patty and coming up with great flavor combinations,” the fast food maverick explained.

Interestingly, however, Warwick’s burger is far from the most calorific sandwich in existence. That honor goes to the Octuple Bypass burger at the aptly-named Heart Attack Grill in Arizona.

This six-pound Mt. Everest of meat clocks in at a whopping 20,000 calories and is comprised of 8.5 beef patties, 40 slices of bacon, 16 slices of cheese, a whole onion, two tomatoes and chili, plus the two buns.

In 2021, competitive eater Matt Stonie shattered the record for eating it, annihilating the nosh in four minutes, 10 seconds.
