On Dec. 14, 1978, up-and-coming artist Billy Joel played his first concert at Madison Square Garden.

46 years later, the Piano Man will perform his 150th — and final — gig at the famous Big Apple venue on Thursday, July 25.

“To our audience, I want to thank them for coming to our shows for this long,” Joel shared at a press conference in 2023. “It’s hard to end (and) I just want to thank everyone for the wonderful thing that’s happened here.”

Given the historic nature of this farewell show, tickets are quite expensive.

However, based on our findings, they are cheaper than they were when we last reported on Billy Joel’s final MSG concert in early July.

Back then, tickets started at $633 before fees on Vivid Seats.

As of now, the lowest price we could find on Billy Joel tickets was $563 before fees.

While not huge, $70 in savings is nothing to sneeze at especially when it includes getting to see Joel one last time before the “lights go out on Broadway.”

But wait! There’s more!

Floor seats are now more than $600 cheaper (!) than they were a little over two weeks ago.

Want to hear “Only The Good Die Young,” “Vienna,” “New York State Of Mind,” “Scenes From An Italian Restaurant,” “Movin’ Out” and so many more timeless hits for a few dollars less?

We’ve got everything you need to know and more about Billy Joel’s final MSG concert below.

All prices listed above are subject to fluctuation.

Billy Joel history at MSG

Joel’s history with Madison Square Garden dates back all the way to December 1978 when he played the arena for the first time on the heels of the success of “The Stranger.”

In the 45 years since, Joel performed at the venue over 100 consecutive months since January 2014 and earned MSG’s records for “Most Lifetime Performances By Any Artist,” as well as “Most Consecutive Performances By Any Artist,” according to ABC 7.

Back in 2006, Joel broke the record for “Most Consecutive Performances By Any Artist” at MSG with 12. Soon after, he beat his own record in January 2015.

Three years later, he performed his 100th show at MSG in July 2018. In his honor, former Governor then Andrew Cuomo declared July 18, 2018 “Billy Joel Day” in the State of New York.

Will anyone ever topple Joel’s MSG record?
