TikTok star Megan Eugenio, also known as “Overtime Megan,” had high praise for Josh Giddey after the Oklahoma City Thunder guard dropped a career-high 31 points in Wednesday’s Western Conference play-in game win over the Pelicans.
Eugenio, who boasts 2.4 million followers on TikTok, gushed over Giddey’s double-double effort in a message on Twitter.
“31!!!!! INSANITY!! super proud,” Eugenio wrote, including a photo of the pair that appeared to be taken at NBA All-Star weekend in Salt Lake City in February.
Giddey — who was selected with the sixth-overall by pick by the Thunder in the 2021 draft — played in the Jordan Rising Stars game in Utah last month.
The 20-year-old and Eugenio were pictured wearing black ensembles and tinted shades.
The Australian pro had his arm around the influencer, while she flashed a peace sign.
Giddey — who added nine rebounds and 10 assists in a stellar postseason debut — became the youngest player in NBA history to score at least 30 points in a play-in or playoff game.
The Thunder went on to defeat the Pelicans in the play-in tournament clash, 123-118.
They will now play the Timberwolves for the eighth seed on Friday — with the winner advancing to face the Western Conference-leading Nuggets in the first round of the playoffs on Sunday.
Eugenio apparently deleted a reply-tweet saying “no” to someone that asked if the pair are dating, according to a screen-grab on social media.
When asked why she deleted the tweet, Eugenio replied: “I don’t owe anyone tweets tbh bc I know people gonna make everything weird which is ridiculous because I been in this industry since I was 18.
“Y’all just say things just to talk sometimes.”
Eugenio — who works in sports, covering various events, including this year’s Super Bowl — is believed to be dating 21-year-old NHL prospect Cole Schwindt, a forward for the Calgary Wranglers.
In December, Eugenio took to Instagram to seemingly deny that she was linked to free agent wide receiver Antonio Brown.
