Titans defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons went off — live and on the air — on Titans radio host and reporter Buck Reising on Tuesday.

Simmons was off-camera yelling at Reising in a profanity-laced argument, which began before it was on air and continued onto the 104.5 The Zone show.

“Jeff, do you want to sit down,” Reising asked the Titans veteran, offering to do an interview with him. “We can talk whenever you want to talk.”

Reising appeared to get more frustrated, reaching to take off his headphones as Simmons said something inaudible, but he stayed seated and said, “We’ll deal with that later.”

As Titans cornerback Roger McCreary sat down for an interview, Simmons continued yelling at Reising, who pointed out they were live on the air.

“I don’t care, you do a lot of talking on social media,” Simmons can be heard saying to Reising during the broadcast.

“I’m right here, Jeff; we can talk anytime you want to,” Reising responded.

“P–y,” Simmons responded.

“Unbelievable; well, we’ll deal with that later on.”

Simmons then jumped back in to say, “I’m telling you, stop talking about me on social media; talk to me.”

“I tried to talk to you last week,” Reising continued before ending the exchange to interview McCreary.

Simmons was one of seven captains for the Titans last season and was recently called the leader of the entire team by general manager Ran Carthon.

“You feel Jeff is not only the leader of the D-Line group and the defense, but the whole team,” Carthon said. “You feel it, and you see it. The way he goes is the way the group goes … He’s set a great example for those guys, so they have something to follow.”

Simmons could face disciplinary action from the team regarding the encounter with the reporter.

Simmons has played all five of his NFL seasons with the Titans, including two Pro Bowl nods.
