Tony Awards 2023 nominations: All the nominees for Broadway’s big night

Broadway’s biggest night is ready to take center stage.

The 76th annual Tony Awards are back and ready to show off the best and brightest talent singing and dancing on the Great White Way.

This year’s show will take place on June 11, 2023, at the United Palace in New York City.

The full list of nominees was announced Tuesday via live stream by “Funny Girl” and former “Glee” star Lea Michele, who was an attendee at Monday night’s Met Gala, and Tony winner Myles Frost at the Sofitel New York.

“West Side Story” star Ariana DeBose will be hosting the show for a second time.

DeBose, 32, announced earlier this month that she was “honored” to return.

“I was honored to serve as host last year and even more so to be asked back,” DeBose said in a statement. “So looking forward to celebrating this incredible season and the people who make the work happen. Here’s to adding some uptown flavor to the magic of the Tony Awards!”

The award show’s producers also expressed their excitement at “The Prom” star’s return.

“Ariana will host and dance and sing, we’re so thrilled she’s back to do the thing,” said Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner playfully nodding to DeBose’s viral BAFTA Awards moment.

Of course, DeBose is no stranger to the stage.

The triple threat made her Broadway debut in “Bring It On: The Musical,” and has since been in several high-profile shows such as “Motown,” “Hairspray,” “Summer: The Donna Summer Musical,” and “Hamilton.”

Last year, producers of the show issued a “slap warning” in the wake of Will Smith slapping Chris Rock during a heated on-stage moment at the Oscars.

As of Tuesday, the American Theatre Wing has yet to issue an official warning.

The Tony Awards will air on June 11 at 8 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. PT and will air on CBS and Paramount+. CBS and Pluto TV viewers will have access to an exclusive pre-show show leading up to the event called “The Tony Awards: Act One” which promises exclusive content.
