An Arctic blast is continuing to wallop the US — but things are hotter than ever for “Top Gun: Maverick” fans.
On Friday, Paramount+ dropped a three-hour version of the billion-dollar blockbuster’s infamous beach scene, sending viewers into a frenzy.
“The weather outside is frightful, but #ParamountPlus is heating up your holiday with everyone’s favorite #TopGun: Maverick moment,” a tweet from the streamer’s official account read, announcing the frisky footage just in time for Christmas.
The sizzling scene from the action flick featured Tom Cruise, Miles Teller and Glen Powell sweaty and shirtless as they played a game of football on the sand.
But the big-screen scene lasted mere minutes, leaving amorous viewers begging for more.
While the new extended edition is sure to satiate some fans, it doesn’t feature any new footage of the musclemen — instead playing the original scene on a loop over and over again.
The only difference, aside from the obviously extended length, is the score.
In the film, the scene was set to “I Ain’t Worried” by OneRepublic, while the looped version is accompanied by holiday instrumental music with jingle bell sound effects.
Still, the extended edition managed to excite many a “Top Gun” fan, with some saying they’d be watching the sexy scene as they unwrapped their Christmas presents.
“Paramount knows what their audience wants,” one swooned.
“Paramount releasing this because the views will bring in the $$$,” another remarked.
The much-loved movie moment is a callback to the volleyball scene in the 1986 original “Top Gun” which featured a shirtless Cruise and Val Kilmer, which was set to “Playing with the Boys” by Kenny Loggins.
“Top Gun: Maverick” was a box office smash, grossing $1.488 billion worldwide and becoming the highest-grossing film of 2022, according to Box Office Mojo.
It also made moviegoers swoon over Cruise, 60, who hasn’t been considered a Hollywood heartthrob for decades. The action flick also turned Teller, 35, into a bona fide A-lister, and landed Powell, 34, on the pages of Men’s Health magazine.
