Trader Joe’s fans devise copycat hack for popular pumpkin rolls: ‘Delicious!’

This Trader Joe’s hack will have you feelin’ gourd all fall long.

One of the grocery chain’s fall favorites, the pumpkin cinnamon rolls, has been discontinued, The Post can confirm — but there’s still a way to make them at home to satisfy that ooey, gooey craving.

On Instagram this week, Trader Joe’s superfans @trader_joes_treasure_hunt shared a recipe that’s a surefire replacement for the original.

“The Pumpkin Rolls are one of our favorite items and when we found out they may not be returning this year we had to hack them ourselves!” the creators told The Post on Tuesday.

All you need is a can of jumbo cinnamon rolls, pumpkin spice and pumpkin butter from Trader Joe’s.

But fans have come up with a copycat recipe.

“Unroll the cinnamon rolls and slather them in pumpkin butter and give them a little dusting of pumpkin spice!” the Instagrammers wrote in the caption.

Before popping them in the oven, pour on some Trader Joe’s maple beverage and top with butter to give them that cinnamon-roll-from-the-mall feel.

Step-by-step directions are included in the Instagram post.

This version is baked in a small, personal skillet dish and topped with pumpkin pie spice.

“Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Butter is one of the most versatile, pumpkin spice forward items, and I just knew combining it with the Cinnamon Rolls would have to be delicious!!” the creators told The Post.

The Post reached out to Trader Joe’s for comment on the hack.

They posted it to their Instagram page, @trader_joes_treasure_hunt.

In the comments section of the post, many were excited to roll play.

“Okay please don’t ever post something that’s this IRRESPONSIBLY GOOD,” one user exhaled. “Warning may cause you to rush to the store and purchase immediately!!”

“Yummmm brilliant idea!!” another clapped.

Someone else agreed, “Omg YUmMM.”

Others pointed out that you could even substitute other fall Trader Joe’s items.

“I would use the pumpkin cream cheese,” one suggested.

Another shared, “I used apple butter instead. Delicious!”

In other Trader Joe’s news, the chain recently recalled several products over fears they contain rocks.

In July, the company recalled its almond windmill cookies and dark chocolate chunk and almond cookies with sell-by dates of Oct. 19-21 and Oct. 17-21.

That same month, the fully cooked falafel was also pulled from shelves for similar concerns.

“If you purchased or received any donations of Fully Cooked Falafel, please do not eat them,” the company said in a recall notice at the time.
