The 2023 NFL season was something of a roller-coaster for the Chiefs, but for star tight end Travis Kelce, the ride has been “nothing but fun” with girlfriend Taylor Swift.
During a sit-down interview with CBS Sports’ Tracy Wolfson ahead of Super Bowl 2024, the two-time Super Bowl champion — who is seeking his third ring Sunday when the Chiefs face off against the 49ers in Las Vegas — spoke about his relationship with the pop megastar, which began over the summer.
“It’s been nothing but fun,” Kelce said. “We’ve both been learning about this lifestyle knowing I’ve brought her into the football world. It’s been an unexpected ride that I’ve just been having a blast with.”
Swift has attended 13 of Kelce’s games this season, including Sunday’s championship contest at Allegiant Stadium.
She traveled from Tokyo, Japan, the day before after performing four shows as part of her blockbuster Eras Tour earlier in the week.
It’s been a wild road back to Super Bowl glory for the defending champions, who became road warriors in the playoffs after finishing the season at 11-6.
Kelce, 34, previously at the center of a helmet-tossing meltdown during a Christmas Day loss to the Raiders, has scored three touchdowns across the Chiefs’ divisional and championship matchups en route to Sunday’s big game.
“For a few weeks, there was a gut check every single time you walked into the building,” Kelce told Wolfson. “I think after that Christmas Day, everyone kind of looked around and said, ‘You know what, let’s turn this energy up and let’s go to work.’”

The Chiefs traveled through Buffalo and Baltimore to make it to Las Vegas on Sunday, with Kelce gearing up for his fourth Super Bowl appearance in five seasons.
Swift is watching Kelce’s game from a suite with his family, along with pals Blake Lively and rapper Ice Spice.
Kickoff for Super Bowl 2024 is set for 6:30 p.m. Eastern.
