Are the Waleses at war?

Princess Kate is said to be “heartbroken” after an “argument” with Prince William over where to send their oldest son to high school.

William, 41, wants Prince George,10, to attend his alma Eton College when he turns 13 — but Kate, 41, is not too happy about the idea.

An insider told In Touch Weekly that the princess does not want George to go to the all-boys’ boarding school.

The source said Kate was “horribly bullied at her first boarding school, and can’t bear the thought of George suffering through that.”

Middleton attended Downe House, an all-girls boarding school in Berkshire, England — a place that she purportedly “hated.”

She later transferred to the co-educational Marlborough College, which is where she now wants to send her son.

Eton College is located close to Windsor Castle. Both William and Prince Harry attended the school in their youth.

“Kate thinks sending George to such a stuffy, upper-crust institution goes against all of their efforts to modernize the monarchy,” the source said.

The insider added that Will and Kate have “argued” almost endlessly about sending George to board at Eton.

“Kate long disagreed with her husband about sending him away, even though it’s tradition,” the insider explained.

However, the Prince of Wales has seemingly “won” the argument, with Kate “finally giving in.”

Tuition for Eton currently costs about $59,000 a year. William graduated from the high school in 2000.

The elite school was founded by King Henry VI in 1440 and it boasts a long list of famous alumni. Eddie Redmayne, Tom Hiddleston and former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson are among those who have been students there.

Several other members of the royal family have graduated from Eton, including the late Queen Elizabeth’s first cousins Prince Edward, Prince Richard, and Prince Michael.

William was the first senior royal to be educated at the institution, as his father King Charles and grandfather Prince Philip had attended the Scottish boarding school, Gordonstoun.

George, Louis and Charlotte currently attend the co-ed prep educational institution, Lambrook.

Speculation over George’s attendance at Eton began last June when he was spotted with his family visiting the school.
