Will Levis’ girlfriend is celebrating a major milestone, too.
Taking to Instagram on Sunday, Gia Duddy revealed she had graduated from Penn State University — less than two weeks after she supported Levis, 23, at the 2023 NFL Draft in Kansas City.
“Did the damn thing @pennstate,” the 21-year-old Duddy captioned the post, which featured her posing in a navy blue robe with her graduation cap.
Leading up to the big day, Duddy — who majored in behavioral health, according to Visitour, an interview platform for college students — enjoyed the festivities of senior week.
The past few weeks have all been about new beginnings for Duddy and Levis, who have been dating for more than two years.
Entering this year’s NFL Draft, Levis was projected to be selected in the first round.
Instead, the former Kentucky quarterback endured an agonizing wait on Thursday, April 27, as his quarterback peers, Bryce Young, C.J. Stroud, and Anthony Richardson, were drafted in the top five by the Panthers, Texans, and Colts, respectively.
Levis, who left Kansas City following the first-round debacle, was home in Connecticut when he was selected 33rd overall by the Titans the next day.
“I knew I was going to cry,” Levis told the local media after receiving the call from Titans brass.
“The tears came immediately. I didn’t really know how the conversation was going to go. It’s one of those things where you feel like you are going to handle yourself and be composed, but the waterworks started flowing and emotions got overwhelming.”
Titans head coach Mike Vrabel stated last month that Levis will enter training camp third on the depth chart behind starter Ryan Tannehill and second-year pro Malik Willis.
That said, the 6-foot-4 prospect will have the opportunity to compete and rise through the ranks.
“Ryan will be the starting quarterback on Monday,” Vrabel said, according to NFL.com. “Malik will be the backup. Will will be the third quarterback. And what I’ve told them is whatever happens after that will be up to the players. That’s what it’s always been here. That’s what we always want it to be.”
The Titans finished the 2022 regular season at 7-10 and missed the playoffs.
