Sylvester Stallone was called “blind” by wife Jennifer Flavin’s August 19 divorce filing, as friends told Page Six about how “very happy” they looked to be together weeks earlier.
The “Rambo” star is in Oklahoma City filming his upcoming Paramount Plus series “Tulsa King,” and friends said Flavin — his wife of 25 years — has been on set constantly.
Sly was in Oklahoma when the papers were filed on August 18, and sources said he was shocked to learn the news.
“You can’t think of a good couple… She’s going to visit him in Oklahoma City, where he’s filming. It looked like everything was great. I don’t know what happened,” one The source told Page Six.
In her divorce petition filed in Palm Beach, Fla., where the couple has a home, Flavin, 54, claimed that her husband “intentionally indulged in extravagance, scarcity and/or waste of marital property”—and demanded that Stallone may be prohibited from selling or transferring any assets during the divorce proceedings.
But a source familiar with the matter said: “It’s so ridiculous, I don’t know why Jennifer’s lawyers put it in the divorce petition, it’s just a pure lie. Sly didn’t sell as much as a T-shirt!”
A representative for Stallone gave a statement to Page Six on his behalf: “I love my family. We are addressing these personal issues amicably and privately.”
According to a friend, “Sylvester intended to work with Jennifer. Now I don’t know [what will happen] Because he decided to make everything public. ,
Meanwhile, TMZ reported that the couple split after a major fight over a dog.
Stallone, 76, is said to have wanted a new Rottweiler as “safety for his family,” but Flavin reportedly didn’t want to add another pet.
This reportedly led to “an extremely heated argument in their marriage that brought up other issues”, although those issues were reportedly not seen as things they could not work through.
Stallone ended up getting the pooch anyway and named him Dwight after the actor’s “Tulsa King” character. She promoted the show on Instagram earlier this month with a photo of herself and Dwight the Dog.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, it was revealed that tattoo artist Zack Perez posted a now-deleted photo on Instagram that shows Stallone getting a tattoo of Flavin’s arm alongside one of the Bullmastiffs — Boutkas from the “Rocky” movies. was.
Stallone and Flavin’s daughters – Sophia, 26; Sistine, 24; and Scarlett, 20 — are filming a reality show together, which their father reportedly helped them get through and is believed to debut on Paramount+. But a Hollywood source told Page Six: “Sly gave him a reality show, but I don’t know what will happen to it now.”
Other industry insiders said Flavin is not a fan of Sly’s longtime publicist, Michelle Bega.
Flavin has asked for sole ownership of the $35 million Palm Beach mansion the couple bought in 2020, with $5 million as a down payment.
According to CelebrityNetWorth.com, Stallone is worth $400 million.
“I am sad to announce that after 25 years of marriage, I have filed for divorce from my husband Sylvester Stallone. While we will no longer be married, I will always cherish a relationship of over 30 years, and I know we are both committed to our beautiful daughters,” Flavin told PEOPLE in a statement.
Its reps did not respond to a request for comment from Page Six.
The couple met at a Beverly Hills eatery in 1988, when Flavin, a 19-year-old aspiring model and “The Expendables” actor, was 42 and divorced twice.
However, their relationship did not seem to be traditional. In 1991, Stallone said: “When we come together, it’s wonderful. When we are apart, there is no wire attached. it’s just that. No relation.”
A year later, Flavin said: “I’m not naive about what can happen when I’m not around – he’s a 45-year-old man – I can’t change his ways. Yet he’s there every day of the week. Not a cheating dog. We spend five out of seven nights together, so I don’t know where he’ll find time.”
However, Flavin’s trust was shattered in 1994, when Stallone broke up with her via a FedEx letter – after model Janice Dickinson, with whom he had an affair, said that he was the father of her daughter. A DNA test said otherwise, and Stallone and Flavin corrected things and said “I do” in 1997.
