Wiz Khalifa’s performance at the Roof Music Center in Noblesville came to an abrupt end at around 10:30 p.m. Friday as people began fleeing the venue.
Some of them raved about a possible shootout, but a spokesman for Noblesville Police told IndieStar late Friday that they had no idea what happened.
No shots were heard or seen from the audience near the front and left of the stage. Most of the attendees fled through the main entrance, but others had to face closed gates or wire fences to exit.
The music stopped, and Khalifa and his band immediately exited the stage.
Roof staff In the parking lot, some audience members were making cell phone calls. Others held each other crying. Some people fled to the fields adjacent to the venue.
Police vehicles and an ambulance were seen in the rear parking lot.
Khalifa was about 45 minutes into his show as part of Vinyl Verse’s co-headlining tour with fellow rapper Logic. That was the last set of the night. Fed the God and 24kGoldn performed earlier in the evening.
