Wheel of … Jeopardy?
Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik are taking on new game show roles — this time as contestants.
The “Jeopardy!” hosts will be competing against each other on rival game show “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune” May 10.
Joining them in the contestant spot will be “Wheel of Fortune” co-host Vanna White, who will be a contestant for the first time “calling letters instead of revealing them,” ABC said.
The much-anticipated crossover will air on ABC at 9 p.m. following the “Jeopardy! Masters” tournament, which will see the return of some of the game’s top contestants, including Amy Schneider, Matt Amodio, Mattea Roach, Andrew He, Sam Buttrey and James Holzhauer.
Fans are thrilled to get to see Jennings, 48, Bialik, 47, and White, 66, face off in the game show, solving puzzles to win $1 million for charity.
A thread on the “Jeopardy!” Reddit forum even has people making predictions.
“Watch Vanna absolutely smoke both of them and leave us all confused,” one person said, to which another quipped in response, “She does have all the answers.”
Someone said seeing White win wouldn’t be surprising considering “she’s spent decades studying by way of being on the show.”
“Vanna knows the writers’ thought processes when creating puzzles. Pat [Sajak] has said she even submits puzzles of her own for possible use on the show. So yes, I think she has a ‘home-court advantage’ so to speak,” a commenter added.
“So excited to see Ken win every round,” another wrote.
“Ken should probably not try to dominate the game, though. Just have fun with it and let everyone get a chance,” one commented.
“I’m confident Mayim will do fine. Mayim is not Ken, but let’s not pretend she’s not intelligent,” someone said.
Jennings will be playing to raise money for Equal Justice Initiative, Bialik for Mental Wealth Alliance and White for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
