Let’s call it extra motivation to play in New York.
Aaron Rodgers was traded to the Jets on Monday, putting him nearby rumored girlfriend Mallory Edens.
Edens, the daughter of Bucks owner and financial magnate Wes Edens, was born and raised in New York.
Rodgers was first linked to the 26-year-old model in January after the two — as they have previously — attended a Bucks game and were photographed together sitting courtside.
“He sits next to us at so many games,” Edens told ESPN in 2019. “He and my dad are friends.”
Around that same time, Edens also took in a Packers game in Green Bay in a suite alongside the significant others of Rodgers’ former teammates, Marcedes Lewis and Randall Cobb.
The new Jets quarterback is a minority owner of the Bucks.
A source told SportsGossip.com that Rodgers’ friendship with Edens turned romantic in recent months after he split with Blu of Earth.
It was Blu of Earth, a.k.a. Charlotte Brereton, a podcaster and social media influencer, who was the presumed influence of the darkness retreat that Rodgers took in Southern Oregon in February to help him focus his mind on what he wanted next.
Rodgers and Blu of Earth, who has denied identifying as a witch, were first romantically linked last summer before their relationship ultimately fizzled out.
Prior to that, Rodgers called off his engagement with actress Shailene Woodley in 2022.
Between 2018 and 2020, Rodgers dated race car driver Danica Patrick, and prior to that, he had a three-year relationship with actress Olivia Munn.
Edens is a model and socialite who graduated from Princeton in 2018.
She first came into the public eye in 2014 at 18 years old, when she was the Bucks’ representative at the NBA Draft Lottery.
Edens’ father is the co-founder of the private equity firm Fortress Investment Group.
As of this past March, Forbes estimated Wes Edens as being worth $3.8 billion.
