Diane Keaton causes uncomfortable moment on ‘The View’: ‘Stay away from me’

Because she said so.

Diane Keaton was seemingly not in the mood to answer questions Friday on “The View.”

The “Because I Said So” actress, 77, stopped by the daytime talk show with her “Book Club: The Next Chapter” co-stars Jane Fonda, Mary Steenburgen, and Candice Bergen.

Their new film, which hit theaters Friday, is a sequel to the foursome’s 2018 movie “Book Club.”

“View” co-hosts Joy Behar, Sara Haines and Alyssa Farah Griffin asked the legendary actresses about aging and their Hollywood memories.

But when Griffin got to Keaton, “The First Wives Club” star seemed nervous, even calling the live studio audience “scary.”

Griffin began, “All of you have made me think about aging differently, and I think it’s so powerful to see you can just have so much fun at any age. Now, Diane, I have to ask…”

“I had no fun at any age,” Keaton blankly stated.

“This is scary,” she said, turning her attention to the audience. “I mean, there’s a lot of people I’m looking at right now. Look at them. They’re amazing. They’re your people. Look, oh my God. Why am I here?”

Keaton did, however, contribute something to the conversation, calling her “Next Chapter” co-star Andy Garcia “unbelievable” and “so charming,” but caused another awkward moment when Griffin asked if she brought any of her real-life experience to the role.

“My real-life experiences are rare,” Keaton said.

“We’re going to have to pass on that one,” she added, to the hosts’ laughter.

Later in the 14-minute segment, Griffin circled back to Keaton.

“Now, Diane…” the co-host started.

“No, not me. Stay away from me,” Keaton nervously laughed. “Enough is enough.”

Griffin proceeded to ask about Keaton’s TikToks, including the viral video of her dancing to Miley Cyrus’ “Flowers.”

“That’s me! Disgusting!” Keaton joked while the clip played. “That’s so stupid, I can’t stand it.”

“Look at that, that’s a crazy person,” she added, reaching for a glass of champagne.

“I’m gonna drink up to that one.”

The Post has contacted reps for Keaton and “The View” for comment.

In a Valentine’s Day Instagram post, Keaton shouted out her former male co-stars, including Michael Douglas, Keanu Reeves and Jack Nicholson, as “all the men that were paid to kiss me.”
