Tina Turner’s cause of death revealed

Tina Turner died from natural causes peacefully in her home in Kusnacht near Zurich, Switzerland, according to a new report.

Turner died Wednesday at the age of 83 following a bout with cancer, a stroke and kidney troubles, but her representatives confirmed to the Daily Mail that she died of natural causes.

The Post has reached out to Turner’s rep for comment.

On March 9, in honor of International World Kidney Day, the “What’s Love Got to Do With It” singer revealed that she put herself “in great danger” — just months before her death.

“My kidneys are victims of my not realizing that my high blood pressure should have been treated with conventional medicine,” she wrote in the caption. “I have put myself in great danger by refusing to face the reality that I need daily, lifelong therapy with medication. For far too long I believed that my body was an untouchable and indestructible bastion.

The Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll suffered other significant health issues later in her life as well.

She had reportedly suffered a stroke in 2013, three years before being diagnosed with intestinal cancer in 2016. She underwent a kidney transplant in April 2017.

A clip of the singer explaining why she renounced US citizenship and moved to Switzerland has resurfaced following her death, where she explained she left America “because my success was in another country.”

Turner’s then-boyfriend German music executive Erwin Bach was moved to Switzerland for work, and she “always wanted to go to Switzerland” and “was very happy.”

Shortly after marrying Bach, Turner relinquished her American citizenship and became a Swiss national, though the couple had been living in Switzerland for many years prior. They later bought a Swiss “weekend retreat” in January 2022.

The news of Turner’s death was shared on her Instagram account Wednesday.

“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tina Turner. With her music and her boundless passion for life, she enchanted millions of fans around the world and inspired the stars of tomorrow,” the statement read. “Today we say goodbye to a dear friend who leaves us all her greatest work: her music. All our heartfelt compassion goes out to her family. Tina, we will miss you dearly.”
