Meet Tiffany Roy, the wife of ‘The Blind Side’ inspiration Michael Oher

Former NFL star Michael Oher has dominated headlines in the wake of his bombshell lawsuit alleging he was never officially adopted by Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy.

The lawsuit further claims Oher, now 37, was instead tricked into signing a conservatorship, allowing the family to collect millions of dollars in royalties from the 2009 blockbuster, “The Blind Side,” which was inspired by the Michael Lewis novel based on Oher’s life.

A former first-round draft pick by the Ravens in 2009, Oher spent eight seasons in the NFL — which included a Super Bowl title with Baltimore in 2013 — before marrying the love of his life, Tiffany Roy.

Here’s what you need to know about Oher’s wife and family.

Who is Tiffany Roy?

Tiffany Roy is a fashion entrepreneur and CEO of the boutique Feminish Collection, which is located in Nashville, where she and Oher live with their family.

Roy, who founded the company in late 2021, is described as a “free spirit, mother, wife, friend, and fashionista,” according to a May 2022 Instagram post by the brand.

“It was an idea that I had for a long time, but in the past went back and forth on if the timing was right,” Roy is quoted as saying in the post. “I enjoy the ups and the downs, and everything about building this brand.

“I hope to inspire women to have self-compassion and embrace their figure exactly the way it is.”

Roy added that she’s inspired by her loved ones: “I live for my family, my friends, and the simplicity of life … I also love a good challenge every now and then. Life is short and we should enjoy every one of it.”

The couple met around 2005 at the administration building of the University of Mississippi, according to People.

Oher, at the time, was in his freshman year at Ole Miss, where the top offensive lineman was a two-time first-team All-American in 2007 and 2008.

Leigh Anne and Sean Tuohy also graduated from Ole Miss, where they met while he was on a basketball scholarship and she was a cheerleader, according to her website.

Sean was drafted by the NBA’s New Jersey Nets in 1982 but opted to continue his career overseas before going into broadcasting.

Roy married Oher in 2022

Roy and Oher tied the knot on Nov. 5, 2022, at the JW Marriott in Nashville.

The couple got engaged on July 21, 2021, after 16 years together.

“He is charming, loving, kind, funny, handsome, a great listener, a great cook, and an amazing father to our kids,” Roy told People after their nuptials.

According to court papers, the Tuohys tricked Oher into signing over the legal authority to use his name in business deals after he turned 18.

The 37-year-old alleged the Tuohys used their conservatorship to make millions in royalties from the 2009 Oscar-nominated film.

“The lie of Michael’s adoption is one upon which Co-Conservators Leigh Anne Tuohy and Sean Tuohy have enriched themselves at the expense of their Ward [Oher],” the legal filing said.

Sean Tuohy spoke out against the claims, saying the conservatorship was made to ensure that Oher was eligible to play football at the University of Mississippi.

Oher wants to end the Tuohys’ conservatorship and secure an injunction barring them from using his name and likeness.

He also wants an accounting of the money they’ve already earned off his name, a fair share of the profits, and punitive damages.

“To hear Mike express his feelings in front of 200-plus people was astonishing and romantic. I really felt like a true Queen.”

“Not being from the area everyone came to was even more special. I won’t be able to tell everyone thank you, if I saw you this weekend, thank you! I’m complete, let’s keep trending upward!”
