CBS’ Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce graphic didn’t go over as well this time

Some NFL fans weren’t happy with CBS’ coverage of Taylor Swift’s absence at the Chiefs-Broncos game Sunday afternoon.

The network shared the viral graphic on the broadcast, which noted that Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce — who’s dating the superstar singer — averaged significantly fewer yards in games Swift was absent.

It was the updated graphic CBS blasted on their broadcast during Kansas City’s win over the the Chargers on Oct. 22, and it didn’t go over well with some fans.

“For no real reason at all, CBS decided to remind NFL fans that Taylor Swift wasn’t in the game,” popular NFL aggregator, Dov Kleiman, wrote in a post on X, including a screengrab of the graphic.

The graphic stated that Kelce averaged 108 yards with Swift cheering him on in-person at the four games she’s attended this season.

“It would be hilarious if they put the graphic on the screen and the commentators decided to ignore it and just talk about the game,” one X user wrote.

Another added, “Thanks CBS !!! I would have never know why the Chiefs sucked ass today.”

The All-Pro tight end has averaged 46.5 yards in the four games Swift did not attend — including Sunday’s 24-9 loss at Denver, which snapped the Chiefs’ six-game win streak.

Kelce had six catches for 58 yards.

The Chiefs went 0-for-3 in the red zone and had four turnovers on offense as quarterback Patrick Mahomes played through a bout with the flu.

The Broncos also trolled the Kelce-Swift craze and blasted the singer’s “Shake It Off” song at Empower Field at Mile High following the stunning upset.

As for Swift, the 12-time Grammy winner was spotted out in New York City on Friday as she prepares to resume her “Eras Tour.”

Kelce is reportedly set to attend the singer’s tour in Argentina in November.

Swift attended Chiefs games in Week 3 against the Bears in Kanas City and Week 4 at MetLife Stadium against the Jets, cheering on the team from private suites with Kelce’s parents, Donna and Ed.

After skipping the Vikings game in Week 5, Swift reunited with Kelce’s parents, as well as her new pal, Brittany Matthews, at Arrowhead Stadium for the Chiefs-Broncos game on Oct. 12.

The couple has dominated headlines since they were first linked in September.

Kelce appeared to make the first move publicly, when he revealed on his “New Heights” podcast that he failed to meet Swift while at her concert in Kansas City in July.
