The Eagles are in their “winning era” and aren’t afraid to rub it in Travis Kelce’s face.
Moments after Philadelphia sealed its 21-17 win over Kansas City on “Monday Night Football,” the Eagles’ social media team took to X, where they trolled the Chiefs tight end over his high-profile romance with Taylor Swift.
“In our winning era,” the post on X read, alongside a photo of an “Eagles win” friendship bracelet — a reference to Kelce, 34, and his original plan to court Swift, 33.
Kelce, who had a rough game Monday that included a key fumble, concocted a plan over the summer to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it during her “Eras Tour” stop in Kansas City.
Things didn’t go according to plan, as Kelce revealed on a July installment of his “New Heights” podcast.
“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings, so I was a little butt hurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her,” Kelce said at the time.
But as Kelce recently spilled in a profile for WSJ. Magazine, he had a little help from “Cupid” when it came to connecting with Swift.
“There were definitely people she knew that knew who I was, in her corner [who said]: Yo! Did you know he was coming? I had somebody playing Cupid,” Kelce said of Swift, who shared those details upon reaching out.
“She told me exactly what was going on and how I got lucky enough to get her to reach out.”
Rumors of a coupling began swirling in September, when the internet lost its collective mind over Swift’s appearance at a Chiefs game.
By October, the pair stepped out publicly in New York, where they were photographed holding hands.
Prior to Monday’s game, Kelce traveled to South America on the Chiefs’ bye week to support Swift, who resumed the international leg of her “Eras Tour.”
The pop superstar was not at Arrowhead Stadium on Monday as she was performing in Brazil.
The Eagles improved to 9-1 on the season in what was a highly hyped rematch of Super Bowl 2023, when Kansas City prevailed, 38-35.
Kelce and the Chiefs (7-3) will have the chance to rebound from Monday’s loss on Sunday, when they visit the Raiders (5-6) in Las Vegas.
