Colin Cowherd “loves” the Houston Texans, even though it seems that the FS1 host doesn’t know some important details about the team.

The well-known sports talk personality included Houston on his “Herd Hierarchy” during Tuesday’s edition of “The Herd with Colin Cowherd,” but it came with a number of errors.

“I love the Houston Texans. They’re the first team with a rookie head coach and rookie quarterback to make the playoffs since 2012,” Cowherd started off saying. “The bottom line here C.J. Stroud, he’s like a veteran. Four games, no turnovers. Bounced back after the concussion. They’ve got weapons, Tank Dell, [Dalton] Schultz the tight end.”

The problem?

The Texans (9-7) have not made the playoffs yet, and Dell is out for the season after suffering an injury in early December.

Colin Cowherd was called out for his Texans spot.

The internet was quick to poke fun at the gaffe.

“His show prep must be legendary,” one user on X wrote

“And he mentions Schultz and not Nico Collins,” another chimed in

“I’m convinced Colin Cowherd doesn’t watch football anymore,” someone else posted

Another user on X even joked that he wished he was in a fantasy football league with Cowherd.

“Wish he was in my fantasy league – probably would be playing [Aaron] Rodgers or [Kirk] Cousins in the championship game lol,” the person wrote

This was far from Cowherd’s first on-air blunder this year after he included putting Dwayne Haskins’ name on a list of “QBs that can’t win Super Bowls” this summer.

Haskins tragically died after being struck by a dump truck in 2022.

Cowherd was criticized for the error, including by WFAN morning host Boomer Esiason.

The Texans can clinch at least a wild-card berth on Saturday with a win over the Colts and could capture the AFC South crown if the Jaguars fall to the Titans.
