Taylor Swift Shows Up but Leaves Empty-Handed.

Taylor Swift is back in her Golden Globes era.

After skipping the award show last year amid Eras tour rehearsals, the singer, who was nominated in the new blockbuster film category for her concert film, “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour,” made an entrance on the red carpet in a slinky green gown à la Keira Knightley in “Atonement.”

It was the fifth Globes nomination of her career, and the first outside the best original song category. But Swift, who attended the first three years she was nominated before skipping last year’s ceremony, when she was up for “Carolina” from the film “Where the Crawdads Sing,” is still seeking her first win: “Barbie” came out on top in the blockbuster category.

And where was her beau, Travis Kelce? He wasn’t too far away, it turns out — in nearby Inglewood, Calif. — but the Kansas City Chiefs tight end was busy attending an N.F.L. game against the Los Angeles Chargers that began a few hours before the ceremony. Given the low stakes, he didn’t actually play — the Chiefs had already locked in their playoff position — but was on the sideline supporting his teammates.

The game ended shortly before the Globes began, meaning Kelce could still put in an appearance at some after-parties alongside Swift — or even sneak into the ceremony.
