It’s the return of the king.

King Charles III is said to be “doing well” after undergoing a planned treatment to address an enlarged prostate on Friday, the BBC reports.

Charles, 75, made the announcement last week that he was undergoing a “corrective procedure” amid his diagnosis.

The monarch’s condition, which is common among men over 50, was benign.

His Majesty was accompanied by his wife, Queen Camilla, to the private London Clinic in west London. She was spotted leaving the facility on Friday.

A source within Buckingham Palace revealed to NBC that Charles “was keen to share the details of his diagnosis to encourage other men who may be experiencing symptoms to get checked, in line with public health advice.”

Another source reportedly told the Daily Beast that the mood inside Charles’ home has been “subdued” with a close friend of the king adding that the exam is a blaring reminder that the monarch is getting older.

“The mood at the palace is, unsurprisingly, subdued,” an ex-courtier told the outlet. “The enlargement of the prostate may be benign, but treatment isn’t a small thing.”

“The king could be off games [out of action] for a month or so,” the source added.

“Good morning, it was quite a frosty journey. Sorry, we’re a bit late, I’m afraid,” the former Duchess of Cornwall, 76, said at the time.

When asked by the Lord-Lieutenant of Aberdeen Dr. David Cameron about how the monarch was feeling, Camilla stated: “He’s fine, thank you very much. Looking forward to getting back to work.”

Charle’s medical procedure comes mere days after his daughter-in-law, Kate Middleton, underwent a “planned abdominal surgery.”

The palace stated that the Princess of Wales is expected to remain in the hospital for 10 to 14 days before “returning home to continue her recovery.” Before his procedure on Friday, Charles visited his daughter-in-law, who is recovering at the same hospital.

It’s “unlikely” she’ll return to public duties before Easter.

“She hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible,” the statement read, and that “her personal medical information remains private.”

Updates on Middleton’s progress will only be disclosed “when there is significant new information to share.”

Prince William, meanwhile, is facing the “pressure” amid Kate and Charles’ procedures, and now must “step up” to the plate.

“It’s quite unusual to have two royals out of action, and it’s going to put more pressure on William,” Grant Harrold, who worked for Charles for seven years when he was the Prince of Wales, exclusively told The Post.

“However, William does cope well under stress, as I’ve seen on many occasions,” he went on.
