Christian Oliver, who died in a plane crash alongside his two young daughters, didn’t have a will in place before the tragedy.
Oliver’s family has reportedly filed a probate with the L.A. County Courts asking for someone to be appointed as the executor of his estate, according to court documents obtained by the Blast.
He left behind a $1.08 million estate.
Oliver’s wealth comprised of $150,000 of personal property and a real estate property in California valued at $1,650,000.
Once encumbrances are removed, the property is set to have a net value of $930,000.
Oliver, born Christian Klepser, was divorced at the time of his death. Therefore, it is likely that his possessions will go to his remaining family: his father Gerhard Theo Klepser, mother Ursula Klepser and his sister Alexandra Klepser.
The family reportedly asked a person named Konstantin Ritcher to serve as Oliver’s executor.
The “Speed Racer” star, his two daughters Madita, 12, and Annik, 10, and the pilot and owner of the plane, Robert Sachs, were killed when the plane “experienced difficulties and plummeted into the ocean,” according to the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police.
According to authorities, Sachs had radioed the control tower at Bequia to report problems and his plan to return. It was reportedly the last time anyone heard from him.
One local managed to use their cell phone to capture the moment when the plane appeared to nosedive out of the sky and into the water.
Fishermen and divers quickly mobilized to try to rescue the victims before the local coast guard officers retrieved the four bodies from the wreckage in about 70 feet of water.
All four were pronounced dead at the scene.
“His loss will be deeply felt by all who knew him,” his ex-wife, Jessica Klepser, and family said in a statement after the incident.
The “Valkyrie” actor had posted about his trip before the doomed flight.
“Greetings from somewhere in paradise! To community and love …2024 her [sic] we come!” he wrote on Instagram.
The late star boasted more than 60 acting credits, including the 2006 prestige drama “The Good German,” directed by Steven Soderbergh and starring George Clooney and Cate Blanchett.
He also appeared in “Saved by the Bell: The New Class” and the long-running German police drama “Alarm für Cobra 11.”
