NBA team scrambles after Gradey Dick, Anthony Black pull off NSFW jersey swap

NBA fans had a field day on social media when Raptors wing Gradey Dick and Magic guard Anthony Black swapped jerseys after Sunday’s game in Orlando.

The 20-year-old rookies met up on the court after a 111-96 Magic win and held each other’s jerseys for photos — but fans quickly noticed their last names combined for an inappropriate phrase.

The Orlando Magic posted and then deleted a photo of the pair smiling after the game, seemingly realizing that it was a NSFW post after the fact.

The jersey swap at Kia Center went viral quickly, with some fans saying that Black and Dick knew what they were doing, and appeared to be laughing and discussing it on the court beforehand.

Dick appeared to say “f–k it” before Black repositioned himself for the photo op, according to Rob Perez, a popular fixture on social media for all things NBA.

Dick, who was selected by the Raptors with the No. 13 overall pick in the 2023 NBA draft, started Sunday’s clash and finished with 10 points and an assist in 27 minutes.

Black played three minutes off the bench, and tallied two points and one steal.

The Raptors were shorthanded without All-Star forward Scottie Barnes and RJ Barrett — whom the Knicks traded to Toronto in December, along with Immanuel Quickley and a 2024 second-round draft pick, for O.G. Anunoby, Precious Achiuwa and Malachi Flynn.

Barnes has no timetable to return after he underwent his surgery for a broken middle finger on his left hand sustained in a120-105 loss to the Golden State Warriors on March 1.

Barrett remains away from the team while mourning the death of his younger brother, Nathan Barrett, who passed away on March 12.

A cause of death for the 19-year-old, who had been studying to be a pilot, was not disclosed.

Nathan “fell ill and had been home for several weeks” before his death, according to Sportsnet’s Michael Grange.
