Caleb Williams is headed towards his destiny with his girlfriend on his arm.
The former USC quarterback, who is the consensus No. 1 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, looked dapper in a navy suit and was accompanied by a mystery blonde in a stunning silver dress that Williams noted she would be wearing.
ESPN cameras caught the couple leaving the hotel, and he then arrived at the red carpet.
Williams, 22, said he would have his right pinkie nail painted silver to match his outfit and his girlfriend’s dress, as the Chicago Sun-Times reported prior to the draft.
Some fans speculated his navy suit was an ode to the Bears, who owns the first-overall selection and are all but certain to select him.
‘‘I feel comfy in my own skin,’’ Williams said while teasing his draft-night look on Wednesday.
This marked Williams’ first public appearance with his girlfriend.
The couple enjoyed a game of Monopoly cards in their hotel room prior to the draft, according to ESPN.
Williams had previously been linked to North Carolina student Valery Orellana, with the two appearing to be high school sweethearts.
Williams, the 2022 Heisman Trophy winner, previously explained that he’s been painting his nails weekly since his senior year of high school.
“My mom does nails… she’s done it for my whole life so it’s kinda always been around me,” Williams said in an interview with USC Athletics in Oct. 2022. “Nobody else does it I like to kind of do new things. I don’t really care what people have to say about it.
“Gotta keep the hands fresh. This is where all the gold comes from,” he said, laughing.
All eyes were on Williams as he was the clear No. 1 pick in the draft after his standout college career at USC and a lights-out performance at the school’s pro day last month.
Bears general manager Ryan Poles instantly became a fan of Williams’after they first met at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine at the end of February — and then led a group of Chicago brass to USC’s pro day the next month, according to the Sun-Times.
It came four days after the Bears traded away quarterback Justin Fields — their first-round draft pick in 2021 — to the Steelers for a conditional sixth-round pick on March 16.
Williams became a fan favorite for his emotional responses in interviews and his unique fashion.
He also took an unconventional path to the combine when he opted out of throwing drills and medical testing — and only allowed access to his medical records at his team visits.
Williams also doesn’t have an agent.
In 2023, Williams threw for 3,633 yards with 30 touchdowns and five picks for the Trojans — and rushed for 11 touchdowns as well.
