He’s not having it.
Oscar winner Jon Voight, 85, who is the father of Angelina Jolie, is speaking out about her messy divorce from Brad Pitt.
“I wish they’d find a way to make peace,” Voight told Fox News Digital in an interview published Friday.
“You know, I think the kids need some stability,” he went on. “I love the kids, and I love my daughter. And I want Brad to step up to do, you know, what he has to do. End this nonsense.”
Pitt, 60, and and Jolie, 49, began dating after starring in the 2005 action comedy “Mr. & Mrs. Smith.” They officially tied the knot in 2014 and separated in 2016. Although they were declared legally single by a judge in 2019, they are still fighting over custody of their children, division of assets and their winery.
For nearly eight years since they first separated in 2016, Jolie and Pitt have been locked in a legal battle over the sale of their French winery, Château Miraval, after the actress offloaded her share for $67 million in 2021.
“All the bitterness is partly why the divorce has dragged on for so many years. Neither will let it go,” an insider told People in July. “You’d think they would be over it and just settle.”
Jolie’s lawyer Paul Murphy told Page Six on July 17 that Pitt “has control of all the properties the couple shared as well as control of the business, but still he demands more, and is suing Angelina for $67 million plus punitive damages.”
They also had a messy custody battle over their kids, Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 20, Shiloh, 18, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 16.
Jolie filed for divorce in 2016 after after an alleged violent argument on a plane.
According to records at the time in 2016, Jolie said that the “Fight Club” star, who had been allegedly drinking, took her to the restroom, where he “grabbed her by the head, shaking her,” during an argument about their kids.
In 2017, Pitt revealed to GQ Style that he had an alcohol problem that led to the demise of his marriage.
According to a filing in April, an NDA that Pitt allegedly proposed to Jolie would cover his “personal misconduct, whether related to Miraval or not,” in an attempt to prevent her from speaking on his alleged abuse.
Jolie’s lawyers alleged that Pitt wanted her to “contractually bind herself” to silence after he learned in 2021 that she submitted a sealed filing. This filing included “emails, summaries of the family’s expected testimony and other evidence” to help settle their child custody dispute.
A friend of Pitt’s told the Post in April that the allegations against the “Ocean’s Eleven” actor were “misleading, inaccurate and/or irrelevant information” that were being used “as a distraction.”
In 2022, Jolie was granted sole physical custody of her children who were still minors at the time, such as Shiloh. Pitt was allowed “custodial time” with his minor children.
In August, Shiloh legally dropped Pitt’s last name.
A judge signed off on legally changing Shiloh’s name from Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt to Shiloh Nouvel Jolie, per a court ruling obtained by TMZ.
Zahara was the first of the children to make the change last November when she shouted Zahara Marley Jolie” at her Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority induction ceremony.
“I separated for the well-being of my family. It was the right decision,” Jolie told Vogue India in a 2020 interview. “I continue to focus on their healing.”
The “Tomb Raider” actress added, “Some have taken advantage of my silence, and the children see lies about themselves in the media, but I remind them that they know their own truth and their own minds. In fact, they are six very brave, very strong young people.”
