Liam Payne’s girlfriend Kate Cassidy fled Argentina solo 2 days before singer’s death

Liam Payne’s girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, left Argentina just days before he fell from the third floor of his hotel balcony to his death at 31.

The former One Direction singer passed away on Wednesday, several local news outlets confirmed.

Payne’s body was found in the inner courtyard of the hotel where he was pronounced dead, according to local law enforcement per GMA.

Payne and his girlfriend shared several photos from their vacation and seemed happy to be in each other’s company prior to the tragedy. However, Cassidy posted a TikTok video on Monday traveling back to her home state of Florida without the singer by her side.

Cassidy shared she was “so ready to leave” after spending two weeks there with Payne. She also stated that they were only supposed to be in Argentina for “five days,” adding that she hates to be in one place for too long and “needed to go home.”

In a twist of fate, Cassidy’s seat on the way home was 1D.

She appeared to be in a good mood about her return to the states, saying she was “happy” and “relieved” to be back in Florida.

Sadly, Cassidy only mentioned Payne’s name once in the video, sharing she left her Squishmallow behind for him.
