Ex-Jets offensive lineman and SNY analyst Willie Colon didn’t hold back on Aaron Rodgers and the Jets’ retreat into darkness.

Gang Green blew a 14-point lead to the Seahawks on Sunday and somehow found another way to lose, with Rodgers throwing a game-changing pick-six to ex-Jet Leonard Williams.

“That’s who Aaron Rodgers is. That’s who he has always been,” Colon said of Rodgers’ personality, which has rubbed many the wrong way throughout his 19-year career.

“He’s just covered that up because of the way he has played. You can be smug and cocky when you are winning MVPs and you’re balling. You can make every play on the field; you can be smug. The problem is his smugness and his play aren’t matching up.”

The four-time league MVP has clearly taken a step back for the 3-9 Jets, despite having earned the honor for his performances in the 2020 and 2021 seasons.

Rodgers’ torn Achilles at the outset of the 2023 season certainly seems to be a factor, with the 41-year-old having lost some of his mobility since coming to the Jets.

Colon accepted that Jets fans are right to be upset with their team, which fired coach Robert Saleh and general manager Joe Douglas and lost six straight one-possession games this season.

“I’m looking at a running back (Breece Hall) who started the season as a top-five running back. You can’t find him on offense. I’m looking at a quarterback who will be wearing a gold jacket one day. And he’s the worst in the NFL,” Colon said. “If you are a Jets fan, burn the whole damn thing up. Burn the whole building up, nothing makes sense. Everything is worse than it was before.”

Colon’s comments come immediately following Rodgers’ postgame press conference, where he noted the disastrous season isn’t all his fault.

“Well, there are 11 guys on the field,” Rodgers said Sunday. “Sometimes it’s my fault. Definitely multiple times today. And then the details aren’t there in some other spots, too.”

Rodgers has had plenty of chances late to turn some of these losses into wins, but he’s repeatedly failed.

The Jets, 3-9, would be 6-6 if they just split one-possession games.

“So yeah, if you are a Jets fan, you have to be damn pissed off at Aaron Rodgers because when we give you the ball, the Aaron Rodgers, in game-winning situations,” Colon said. “This is Kobe (Bryant). This should be an easy W for us. And our defense isn’t horrible.”

He added: “If I’m a Jets fan, I’m pissed off that we fired our head coach, and we ended up 1-5 out of that. We got Davante Adams, and we haven’t seen him take over games like we have seen other elite receivers take over games.

Colon spent six seasons with the Steelers and three with the Jets from 2013-15, where he was part of an elite offensive line along with D’Brickashaw Ferguson and Nick Mangold.
