Glen Powell’s ex Gigi Paris now dating retired NFLer Cooper Helfet

Former NFL tight end Cooper Helfet and model Gigi Paris debuted their relationship at the 2025 Angel Ball in New York on Monday, two years after Paris’ split from actor Glen Powell.

Paris reposted a photo of them on the red carpet at Cipriani Wall Street to her Instagram Story, writing, “papiiii” with a wink face.

Helfet — who played for the Seahawks when Seattle beat the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII in 2013 — reposted the image to his Instagram Story.

Paris and Powell split in April 2023 after three years of dating amid rumors that the actor and his “Anyone But You” costar Sydney Sweeney had an on-set affair.

At the time, many believed Powell and Sweeney were leaning into the dating buzz as they promoted the movie.

During an appearance on on Emma Klipstein’s “Too Much” podcast in June 2023, Paris explained that she walked away from her relationship with Powell because she was “shattered” over the situation.

“I had two options,” she said. “I could either pretend like I was going along with everything and have everyone wonder, like, ‘Are they hooking up? Are they not hooking up? Is she okay with this? What the f—?’ Or stand up for myself and say, ‘No, I’m actually not okay with this, and I’m walking away.’ So that’s what I decided to do … I was shattered.”

Paris, who did not name Powell or Sweeney, explained that it “sucked” how their breakup was handled — and that Powell “never once” shut down the dating rumors.

“It was serving them for their PR. Later on, it turned out that it was all, I don’t know if there was a relationship there or not, but then they came out to say it was all a PR scheme at the expense of our relationship. Like, it was just crazy,” Paris said.

“Just to sell a movie or not, who knows?” she continued, “And I honestly hoped that they’d end up together, because I was like, at least it would make it worth it for me, you know? I hope they are in love or whatnot.”

Last month, Powell addressed Paris’ comments, telling “GQ” that he will always have nothing but love and respect for his ex.

“Everybody’s always going to have their own narrative on things and all that. And she’s welcome to it. Relationships are really hard. And when two people break up, they each go to their own brunch and they will each tell their own narrative.”

Sweeney weighed in on the rumors during an interview with “Variety” published on Monday.

“Honestly, the press did it themselves. There was no leaning in, per se,” Sweeney said. “Truly the tabloids and journalists just created it and kept going.
