A ton of sports stars from the Golden State made the 3,000-mile trek from California to New York to show off their stuff at this year’s Met Gala.

Over half a dozen athletes with CA ties threw on their best attire for Monday night’s spectacle in New York City, and each appeared to nail the “Fashion is Art” theme.

Here’s a closer look at how the Californians fared while strutting at The Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The Warriors icon and his wife donned predominately all-black ‘fits for the occasion, with the basketball player opting to cover his suit with a hooded jacket.

Ayesha’s ensemble featured a long, see-through train, and the couple was seeing smiling with one another throughout the night as they posed for pictures.

Russell Westbrook

The former UCLA hooper — who’s logged minutes with the Lakers, Clippers and Kings in his NBA career — highlighted his chiseled abs with his outfit.

Wearing an all-blue getup with the top unbuttoned, Westbrook proudly put his bare, sculpted torso on display for the event.

Jimmy Butler

Steph’s Warriors teammate, who missed most of the 2025-26 NBA season due to an ACL injury, also went with an all-black look for the evening.

Butler sported flowy pants with a cropped suit jacket on top — and for curious Golden State fans, he didn’t seem to have any sort of limp as he sashayed around the venue.

Serena and Venus Williams

The tennis stars, who grew up honing their skills on Compton courts, both wowed at the NYC get-together.

Serena wore a metallic dress, while Venus went with a black one that was adorned with a large silver necklace.

Alysa Liu

The Olympic gold medalist and UCLA student had arguably the most colorful outfit of the Californians in attendance, choosing an all-red dress for the show.

Her “smiley” piercing, of course, made an appearance as well.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson

The WWE Superstar turned Hollywood A-lister looked dapper with a black suit and white top underneath.

Prior to appearing at the facility’s runway, he wrote on Instagram that being a part of the celebration was one of the “coolest” things he had “ever” done — a sentiment his fellow athletes no doubt shared.
