As celebrities packed out the stands at Los Angeles Stadium during the finale of Group D play in a 3-2 United States men’s national team loss to Turkey, Dodgers starting pitcher Blake Snell was spotted in the crowd.
During an intermission period during the match, he was shown on the scoreboard, sitting alongside his wife, Haeley Snell.
When Blake Snell was shown, he immediately jumped out of his seat and lifted his arms as he was trying to energize the fans in attendance.
Blake Snell was one of the many local LA athletes in attendance, as his teammate, Tyler Glasnow, was also at the game.
LA Angels shortstop Zach Neto was also seen attending the game, as well as former Super Bowl Champion and reigning NFL MVP Matt Stafford, and Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua.
Blake Snell is in the midst of his second season with the Dodgers after signing a 5-year $182 million contract with the team before the 2025 season.
Last year, he played a crucial part in helping the Dodgers become back-to-back World Series Champions after making five starts and six appearances while owning a 3.18 ERA and holding batters to a .183 average in the postseason.
This year, Blake Snell hasn’t pitched much for the Dodgers after starting the season on the injured list due to left shoulder fatigue from the playoffs. On May 9, Blake Snell came back from the injured list for the Dodgers, but immediately went back on after having surgery for loose bodies in his elbow.
With an expectation of being out 2-3 months due to the surgery, the player underwent a new surgical procedure to help expedite his return to the Dodgers.
Blake Snell’s return is coming closer, as it was reported that he will be throwing a bullpen session today, which will be limited to 15 pitches.
