The Las Vegas Raiders’ chances of winning a Super Bowl ring in the next several seasons appear to have dramatically increased after they drafted Fernando Mendoza with the first pick of the 2026 NFL Draft.
In the meantime, star tight end Brock Bowers is focused on another ring: the one he gave to his new fiancée, Cameron Newell, on Wednesday night.
Newell shared an Instagram video on Thursday morning that showed a hidden camera had been set up to capture the moment Bowers got on a knee, which appeared to be on a lush hill where some furniture had been placed.
The couple were both clearly emotional as Newell got an idea of what was happening. She asked Bowers whether he was serious and whether this was actually happening before ultimately saying yes and the couple embracing.
“The best surprise of my life, right where it all started. Can’t wait to spend forever with you🤍,” the post was captioned.
On Wednesday, Newell posted a photo of a big diamond ring on her finger with a smiling Bowers in the background. There wasn’t any caption, but the ring told the story as congratulatory messages from friends and family followed.
This engagement has been a long time coming, as Bowers and Newell have been dating since high school, as they are both from Napa Valley, California.
Newell attended the University of Tennessee while Bowers was at the University of Georgia. Newell has been a constant presence at all of Bowers’ Raiders games.
Newell has capitalized on her platform. She has become an influencer who shares much of her life on social media, including the outfits she wears to Raiders games.
All of Newell’s gameday outfits for the upcoming Raiders season will include an eye-catching accessory on her left hand.
