The Raiders are off to a 2-0 start for the first time since 2021, and a big reason for it is due to 15-year veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins.
Winning brings great vibes to the locker room. It also loosens players up and allows reporters to ask the tough questions. Including ones about childhood crushes.
Raiders digital reporter Levi Edwards asked Cousins after practice who his childhood crush was, and it was one that he said would leave fans shocked.
“I have the absolute left-field one for you. I bet Raiders Nation wouldn’t guess it in a thousand years,” Cousins said. “Meagan Good.”
Cousins said she played the character Beautifull in the movie “You Got Served.”
Aside from being in “You Got Served,” Good was also in “Eve’s Bayou,” “Stomp the Yard” and “Anchorman 2.”
Outside of movies, she was also in TV shows including “Deception” and played Nina in the Nickelodeon sitcom, “Cousin Skeeter.”
The reaction to Cousins admitting that Good was his childhood crush was positive by the Raiders’ fan base, as the account @hbooogie responded to Edwards’ post on X by posting a photo of Good when she was in “You Got Served” and said, “Kirko knows ball.”
The account @simone_weii posted a GIF of former Cowboys wide receiver Terrell Owens during his iconic 2008 news conference saying, “That’s my quarterback,” when he was defending Tony Romo.
The likelihood of Good and Cousins becoming more than strangers appears unlikely. She married fellow actor Jonathan Majors on March 18, 2025. Cousins has been married to his wife, Julie Hampton, for the last 14 years, and they have two children.
While Cousins fondly reminisced about his childhood crush, he knows the bigger picture that lies ahead.
The Raiders are looking to reach the playoffs for the first time since 2022, while Cousins has been serving as a crucial piece in helping the team develop rookie quarterback Fernando Mendoza.
A year removed from a season in which he was riddled with injuries, Cousins has been playing exceptionally well through two games for Las Vegas this season. He has six touchdown passes and 413 yards.
