Clippers host clears air on viral hot mic fart controversy

Los Angeles Clippers in-arena host Hannah Cormier has addressed the breaking news about her potentially breaking wind.

A clip of Cormier, who is entering her 11th season with the Clippers organization and her seventh as the in-arena host and MC, walking off camera to the tune what sounded conspicuously like a fart went viral on social media Thursday.

Cormier has seen the debate this clip has sparked and set the record straight about what actually happened.

“All stars are made of gas, but I’m innocent,” Cormier said in an exclusive statement to the California Post.

Cormier asserts that the farting sound in the video was the byproduct of the user who posted the viral video, who created the sound themselves to add more stakes to the clip.

The Clippers host also made an Instagram post addressing the clip and the ensuing press it has prompted.

“They say any press is good press. I didn’t fart!” Cormier said in the video while a screenshot of the initial California Post was shown behind her.

“But I know that if you denied it, you supplied it. I really didn’t! That honestly sound like a whoopee cushion fart. Now I’m seeming guilty.”

Cormier deserves a lot of credit for handling this situation with grace, especially because the sound does sound like it was produced after the fact.
