Mission accomplished.
Emily Blunt claims Tom Cruise gave her some unconventional — yet motivating — advice when they worked together on “Edge of Tomorrow.”
The actress, now 39, recalled her Hollywood co-star delivering some tough love on the set of the 2014 action flick, a departure from her typical rom-com fare. She said Cruise told her to “stop being such a p—y” as she struggled with her 85-pound costume.
“We had to wear these enormous suits, which I think would’ve been great if we had CGI’d them, but we wanted to do it in a tactile way,” she revealed on the “SmartLess” podcast on an episode dropping Monday, per news reports.
“When you hear the word ‘tactile,’ you think that sounds nice and cozy. There was nothing cozy about these suits. It was like 85 pounds. It was so heavy,” she continued. “The first time I put it on I started to cry, and [Cruise] didn’t know what to do.”
Blunt said Cruise “stared at her” as she got more panicked about donning the heavy suit.
“I was like, ‘Tom, I’m not sure how I’m going to get through this shoot,’ and just started to cry,” she admitted. “I said, ‘I’m feeling a bit panicky about the whole shoot.’”
Cruise’s alleged response had “The Devil Wears Prada” star weeping again — but in a good way.
“He just stared at me for a long time, not knowing what to do, and he goes, ‘Come on, stop being such a p—y, OK?’” she said, adding it caught her off guard and made her laugh.
The Post reached out to a rep for Cruise, 60, for comment.
In “Edge of Tomorrow,” Cruise and Blunt play warriors in a time loop attempting to save humanity after Earth falls under attack from aliens.
The massive suit wasn’t the only challenge Blunt allegedly encountered on the science-fiction film set, revealing she also injured her ribs and collarbone. She reportedly told podcast hosts Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes and Will Arnett the affected bones “are still dodgy.”
