Danielle Ruhl has officially filed for divorce from her husband, Nick Thompson, soon after tying the knot a year ago in June.
The reality stars met on season two of Netflix’s hit series Love Is Blind. The premise of the show follows individuals who attempt to fall in love without seeing each other face to face.
TMZ confirmed that the 29-year-old beauty filed divorce papers to separate from the 35-year-old product marketer earlier this week in Cook County Circuit Court, located in Illinois, on Monday.

The couple married at the end of season two of the reality series and celebrated their one-year anniversary earlier this summer on June 8.
Danielle took to her Instagram to celebrate the special day with an adorable and loving compilation video of the two with the caption, ‘One year wedding!!!’
Despite the recent celebration, the beauty filed for divorce in Illinois earlier in the week.

Last July, Danielle sat down with Us Weekly to discuss how she and Nick plan to have a second wedding, and hinted at starting a family sometime in the future.
“On our two or three year anniversary, we really want to do a reception again, to make sure all of our families can be there,” she said.
‘Like, I’ve always dreamed of my dream wedding and wedding planning and a bachelorette party. And so we’re doing that all over again. It’s like when we have time,’ the star said.
Daniels also opened up about the day Nick and himself tied the knot in a televised marriage.
Marry again: The marketing director told Us Weekly last month that Nick and himself have plans to redo their wedding and reception.
‘We did a lot of flip-flops. Like, we flip-flopped a lot before everything happened and it was, like, five seconds before we walked down the aisle that we decided we were going to say yes.’
Once the ceremony was over she said, ‘Then it’s like that, I don’t know. It was like a magical feeling.’
The marketing director also discussed that having children was in the works, but a few years in the future.
He added to the entertainment publication, ‘We got married very early and so it’s nowhere in the cards for the next two years. ‘I can’t wait to see the kids being embarrassed to get out of both Nick and them. Like, I can’t wait,’ she admitted.

Speaking about her time on Love Is Blind in a joint interview with Nick on the KTLA 5 morning show in Los Angeles in April this year, Danielle revealed that until the other day, she knew Nick, ‘that person with whom I was supposed to live. ,
Nick also looked at marrying Danielle at the end of season two, along with their long pause before saying ‘I do’.
‘Getting married is a big step and if it’s very important for both of us. I guess I just wanted to be sure. But I was sure. There was no question.’
Neither Danielle or Nick have publicly made any statement regarding their divorce.
