Authorities allege Gary Busey asked detectives to ‘talk victims out of pursuing complaints’ after they alleged he touched them

The affidavit, obtained by CNN, said detectives from Cherry Hill Police were called to the Doubletree Hotel on August 13, where two victims “reported sexual assault by the same actor,” identified as the defendants.

“They reported that they were in a photoshoot area during a Monster Mania event and were taking a picture of themselves with the defendant. During the photoshoot, the defendant placed his face near one of the victim’s breasts and asked her where he had obtained them. Done, open her bra strap before attempting,” the affidavit said.

The affidavit said that another woman reported that Busey, 78, grabbed her buttocks during a photo shoot. The next day, a man reported that his daughter had been sexually assaulted by the actor, and told detectives that he grabbed her buttocks during a photoshoot, according to the affidavit.

Earlier on Tuesday, when reached by CNN, Busey declined to comment and declined to say whether he had legal representation in the matter.

CNN contacted Busse again Tuesday night for comment on the affidavit’s allegations.

TMZ reported that Busse denied allegations of sexual misconduct at TMZ when the outlet caught up with the actor on Monday at a Malibu gas station.

He said he was “not unreasonable at all,” and that he has eyewitnesses.

“Nothing like that happened,” Busey said. “Nothing happened. Nothing. It was all a lie.”

Detectives made contact with Busse, and the affidavit states that “initially he denied groping anyone before asking detectives to apologize to victims, then asking detectives to pursue complaints from victims.” as well as claimed that sometimes it is possible to accidentally touch someone in a specific body part,” the affidavit said.

A law firm representing Monster Mania told CNN in a statement Saturday that it was assisting officers with their investigation, and shortly after receiving a complaint from an attendee, “the celebrity guest was removed from the convention and Was instructed not to return.”

CNN has contacted Cherry Hill police and Camden County prosecutors for comment.
