UConn freshman guard Braylon Mullins had his high school sweetheart, Kylee Beranek, cheering him on as he became the hero of the Huskies’ March Madness run Sunday.

The couple celebrated together in a hotel room after Mullins sank a long 3-pointer with 0.4 seconds left to give UConn a 73-72 victory over top-seeded Duke — securing a spot in the Final Four after rallying back from a 19-point first-half deficit at Captial One Arena in Washington, D.C.

Beranek shared a TikTok video of her dancing and hugging Mullins to the song, “Goin’ Back To Indiana,” by The Jackson 5.

Beranek sported a pair of jeans with Mullins’ name down the leg and a UConn t-shirt that said, “We’re Not Done.”

At one point, Mullins grabbed his Final Four hat from Beranek as she flashed her shirt to the camera.

“HOMECOMING BABY!!” Beranek wrote, referring to UConn’s matchup with third-seeded Illinois in the semifinal, taking place at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on April 4.

Mullins and Beranek reportedly began dating while attending rival high schools, just 11 miles apart in Indiana.

He played basketball at Greenfield-Central High School and she played soccer and basketball at New Palestine High School.

“Back to Indiana!!” Beranek wrote in an Instagram Story post, including a photo of the couple hugging on the court after the Huskies advanced.
