Gracie Hunt is now engaged.
The daughter of Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt announced her engagement on social media with Derek Green, the son of former Chiefs quarterback and Super Bowl champion Trent Green.
“It was always you,” the first line of the caption on their joint Instagram post read.
The post also showed the scene of the proposal — an altar containing a plethora of candles and white flowers, as well as cactus from the surrounding desert.
The first photo featured Derek on his knee as Gracie’s hands cover her mouth. Subsequent snapshots show Derek shaking hands with Clark and Gracie’s mom, Tavia, and Derek’s mom, Julie, taking pictures from the side in excitement.
Another photo also showed a close-up of Gracie’s engagement ring.
Gracie and Derek made their relationship public in July 2025 via an Instagram video, which came after they teased at it in a now-deleted post from Arrowhead Stadium.
“You look happier,” the text of July’s post read, as videos of the couple flashed on the screen.
“Thank you, I’m dating my best friend,” another said, fully exposing the relationship.

Following Sunday’s engagement, their family took to social media to express their feelings.
“We’re getting another SON!!,” Tavia wrote. “Gracie Green has a nice ring to it!!”
“Forever looks so beautiful on these two,” she added in the caption of her own Instagram post. “God brought these two together in such a special way, and our hearts are overflowing with joy … We are so grateful for His hand in their lives and so excited for all that lies ahead.”
“Words can (not) express how happy I am for you guys! @d12green, thankful for you giving me another sister!!! I’m so excited to see how God blesses this chapter of your lives! I love you both so much,” Derek’s sister Janelle posted on her Instagram story.
