Dreamcatcher new music

This girl group isn’t your typical K-Pop act. Dreamcatcher’s sound is far from the bubblegum sound associated with the genre. Rather, they embrace a darker, heavier, grungier approach to their music.

This has never been more evident than with their recently released two-track EP “Luck Inside 7 Doors.”

Clocking in at just six minutes, the girls harmonize over moody rock on the ironically titled “Lullaby” that sounds like it belongs at the climax of a war film. After that, they straight up shred on the rocky “The curse of the Spider,” which wouldn’t sound out of place on an early 2000s Evanescence record.

Their tenth mini-album is due out July 10.
